Leonardo DiCaprio Finally Took The Ice Bucket Challenge And Called Out The Canadian Prime Minister

“We’re here to accept the ALS challenge and I’m happy to donate to this very worthy cause.”

After being nominated by David Beckham, Leonardo DiCaprio finally accepted the #IceBucketChallenge.

In addition to getting soaked alongside Chief Adam of the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation, Chief Courtoreille of the Mikisew Cree First Nation, and The Sierra Club President Michael Brune, DiCaprio also donated $100,000, while raising awareness to a cause of his own: the affects the Canadian Tar Sands have on the climate and the indigenous communities that live in the area.

Raising the stakes, DiCaprio nominated Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, with President of Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers Dave Collyer, Mark Little of Suncor Canada, and Shell CEO Ben van Beurden also receiving nominations.
