She directed the North American tour of the play "69° South," as well as "Ghosts" in New York. In addition, she's also directed numerous opera productions, including 'The Rape of Lucretia," and "The Magic Flute".
In 2007 she received the Samuel Beckett Award for writing and directing the play "The Terrific Electric".
As well as writing and directing, Hunter also has several acting accolades too.
She has starred in TV shows Torchwood and Midsomer Murders, as well as the film Traffic Warden.
Her biggest on-screen role, however, was the 2004 movie Vanity Fair, in which she appeared alongside Reese Witherspoon.
