She told delegates at Davos: “There is a greater understanding than ever that women need to be equal participants”.
This morning actress Emma Watson gave a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The UN Women Goodwill Ambassador was there to talk about the HeForShe IMPACT 10x10x10 Initiative.

The UN describes it as a pilot initiative "to galvanise momentum in advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment".
Watson said: "There is a greater understanding than ever that women need to be equal participants in our homes, in our societies, in our governments, and in our workplaces."
"And they know that the world is being held back in every way because they are not," she added.
She told delegates she wanted to hear from "the human beings" behind organisations that had taken steps to improve gender equality.
