Bruce Jenner Survives California Car Crash That Killed One

There were eight people involved in the three-vehicle crash, the Malibu Sheriff’s Department confirmed to BuzzFeed News. A representative for Jenner told BuzzFeed News that his client was uninjured.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department responded immediately, and closed off the highway to investigate the incident. The highway remained closed late Saturday afternoon.

Alan Nierob, a representative for the reality TV star, told BuzzFeed News that Jenner was uninjured. One person died at the scene, and several others were injured, the L.A. County Sheriff's Department told BuzzFeed News.

Jenner was photographed uninjured by the wreckage by witnesses shortly after the accident occurred.

TMZ reported that members of the Jenner family said Bruce was being chased by as many as five paparazzi when he crashed into a white car, which spun into an intersection and was hit by a Hummer.

However, an L.A. County Sheriff's deputy told BuzzFeed News late Saturday that the paparazzi did not "appear to be a causal factor" in the accident. The deputy declined to provide additional details, saying the investigation was still ongoing.

Jenner reportedly passed a field sobriety test after the crash.
