Eva Longoria is the latest celebrity to speak out about her experience of privacy invasion, claiming that Apple employees accessed her personal information in order to make contact with her.

Speaking on Access Hollywood, Eva explained: "I've had a lot of people breaking into my email."

When asked whether she'd been hacked, Eva said: "My Mac email. Not hacked – just go get it from the stores and I had a big problem with that."

Eva claimed that she was then contacted by staff who were fans of hers, saying that they would call her and say: "I made a dress and I want to send it to you. I work at the Apple Store here in San Antonio" and I'm like...what? 'Did you give out my email? Or my phone?' 'I saw your phone number from your profile, I just wanted to call and say hi, I'm a fan."

She concluded: "There are a lot of privacy issues."

Apple have not yet responded to the show's request for comment.

Apple were drawn into the scandal after it was suggested that the photos were accessed from Apple's storage service, iCloud.

Yesterday Apple released a statement, saying they had found no systems breached in relation to the nude photos leak.

They said: "After more than 40 hours of investigation, we have discovered that certain celebrity accounts were compromised by a very targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions, a practice that has become all too common on the Internet. None of the cases we have investigated have resulted from any breach in any of Apple's systems including iCloud or Find my iPhone. We are continuing to work with law enforcement to help identify the criminals involved."
